WE BELIEVE IN THE PROPER RESTRICTION OF AUTOMATIC WEAPONS, A CHOICE IN TERMS OF THE DEATH PENALTY, STRICTER BORDERS, PROPER PROTECTION FOR LGBT YOUTH, FUNDING FOR INTER-CITY SCHOOLS, A LOWER INCOME TAX, A LOWER DRINKING AGE, LEGALIZED MARIJUANA, AND EASIER ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH NECESSITIES.
Restriction of Automatic Weapons
We all care deeply about the protection of out second amendment rights, so our proposal isn't to help take our weapons away. It would simply to be to restrict access to dangerous individuals and prohibit the modification that easily turns any weapon semi-automatic. Dangerous individuals would classify as those with deep mental issues that may cause them to force harm to themselves or others, or those on watchlists. "If you're too dangerous to get aboard a plane, you're too dangeous to buy a firearm." -Shaffer. Funding for this cause wouldn't be necessary, as all the workers and provisions are already in place, simply the enforcement would have to change and ID's would be required when buying weaponry.
In Death, Comes a Choice.
Many consider the death penalty to be unjust or unfair, seeing as the point of a jail is to rehabilitate. While others see life in jail as costly and cruel. Our proposed law would put the lives of criminals back within their own hands, allowing them a choice between the two. Although many of these people have done horrific, unspeakable things, they are still human, and don't deserve this choice to be made for them.
Stricter Borders
The Wilson Party endorses the clear message of stricter borders, with less allowance of illegal immigrants coming through. Although this would take time and money, the funds would be funneled from the national defense budget. Meanwhile, the process of getting a green card and coming here legally would be greatly quickened, as we would hire more people and attempt to make America a haven, as long as we know who's here.
Protection for LGBT Youth
People are quite simply--just people. Some have different taste in movies, music, art...or gender when deciding who to love. We believe that love is just love, and no child should be afraid to tell their parents that they are in love, or aren't who they're supposed to be. Our bill would enact a protection program, as well as an outreach program for LGBT youth.
A Lowered Drinking Age
At 18 you are given a myriad of rights from being able to buy a house, to risking your life for the good of our country. A right you are not given, is the access to alcohol. Alcohol poisoning kills 6 people every day, and we believe that a more normalized view of the beverages would promote more responsible drinking, a lower drunk driving rate (due to people not being afraid to get busted), and an overall healthier view on the substance. The legal BAC would remain the same until you reach the age of 21.
Lower Income Taxes
Every day, excessive income taxes leave many finding themselves faced with high amounts of debt. Lowering these high income tax rates would result in reduced unemployment and people are encouraged to work harder, thus increasing average productivity. The economic growth in America would significantly escalate if these unnecessarily high income taxes are lowered.
